Apart from the racing, one of the great things already in the class is just getting together for a beer.
How do people feel about a bit of "competitive" cruising, from the Solent over to Poole or Weymouth or Brighton or Eastbourne? Format something simple like set off Sat am, stay over Sat night, back Sun am?
It is a good way to get some sailing in before the round the cans stuff starts, and allowsthe Solent boats to meet up with their Eastern and Western neighbours.
Oh, and competitive - because who doesn't want to get there first...
Any takers?

OK, I get it - the Minitonners are all hardened racers, nothing else will do.
Then how about a "race to a race" - let's get some of the Solent boats to Plymouth Race Week, or Weymouth or Poole for the time limited?

Ken, if I get myself a boat for 2011 then I shall be delighted to hook up for some cruising in company.

Sounds like a Top Gear Challenge.... one sails, the other tows... You will have to drive blindfold of course.
