Just been flicking through Boatshed and found the following - www.boatshed.com/dynamo-boat-104227.htmlLooks like a minitonner version of David Thomas' 'Quarto' Quarter Tonner design, does anyone know anything about it?

Yes it is! It's a Dynamo 25 from David Thomas. There is another at Blackwater SC called 'August Sky' that is owned by a friend of mine, I'm working on him to come and join in at Burnham at the end of May. IRC approx 0.848, I think he is rated? He had plans to do some Sail East last year but maybe only Mersea.

Looks like a boat for not much money. I've seen a Dynamo down here in Devon, which is for sale. Went for a look round it, again in need of a plenty of paint on the topsides, beat him down to £4k , but in the end I went for a GRP boat as less expensive to maintain. Thing is I thought it was a quarter tonner

Seems odd to me that a mini tonner version of the Quarto should be a foot longer than the Quarto itself. I would have thought my Intro 22 fitted that description rather than the Dynamo 25 which, to my mind, is more akin to David Thomas's 'Needlework' / 'Quillet' / 'Cascade' type quarter tonners. Also, if my memory serves correctly, A P Farrow's built a Dynamo 23 as well as the 25. If so, the 23 would be closer to the spirit of the mini ton fleet.

Just looked at the Boatshed listing - the boat looks more like a Dynamo 23 rather than a Dynamo 25.
