Hi.
Finally seem to have had a spurt of activity. I have a couple of poorly taken photos of the reinstated transom, which is about 3/4 done.
If anyone is interested, feel free to get in contact as I can't work out how to upload them.
Best to all
Rupert

press "Reply" at bottom right of the messages (not "quick reply"), then second line of the box that opens says "attachment". follow that search button to select your file. Always interested to see pics of IOR boats stretched to the limit..... Just to show it can be done, here is an old 1983 pic of Glass Onion richard Attachments:

Is this an extension on the existing transom or is this replacing what is already there to the sme dimensions?

Hi Paul.
It is an. extension to the existing(chopped down) 6.6m to reinstate her to her 1980 7.7m glory.
Hope that makes some sort of sense!
Best regards
Rupert

Out of interest, how does this affect the hull date? I presume it'll change it to 2012 on the cert, even though it's 80's original design?

Not sure.
She has not been rated since 1980 and I have merely out her back as she was at that point. I csn are the case that the age date out to change if she had been rated at 6.6m and then changed again.
I am sure the good folk who administer the rule will let me know.
Anyhow its all done now. I will try to get some pics up I the best couple of days.
First race of the season on Wednesday, starting to get quite excited!
Best to all

Rupert she looks wonderful. Are you concerned that you will be able to get enough weight aft in the cockpit to keep the stern in the water for speed gains? we will meet one day.... Richard
