We've got a problem with Roughian for the MTC in that our spinnaker pole is broken.
We might have to enter the ISC class as a whites only boat if we can not beg, borrow or steal (or buy) a replacement in time.
If anyone can help I'd be ever so grateful.

Performance rigging in hamble point should be able to find and fit a pole end within a week. They have done for me, twice. Wasn't too expensive either.

What would other MT owners think about the use of an A-sail? Not particularly in keeping with the original Mini-tonner designs but it might get us to the start line. I've never put it up before but it is no bigger than our big spinnaker.

George, you are welcome to borrow the pole from Secondanita, length is 2.38metres, problem is you will have to get it from near Oxford. Contact me off forum richard(DOT)salter(AT)t-online(DOT)de if you want do this, and I can alert my parents that a stranger will call. Richard

Richard that is a very kind offer, thank you, but we're now pretty sure the pole will be fixed by Friday.
