Hi Everybody, my name's Ludo, I'm webmaster of lekleubaooze.com, a french website I built for a few friends racing quarter and half-toners and me racing a mini-toner named "funky shit", rivetto one design -1980- . We are all based around Dunkirk and Gravelines. Some of us are dreaming of crossing the channel and race among you in Cowes. First, we need to do so much progress not to be ridiculous that day. Until then, I suggest to become a connection between this group of racers and you. We would be pleased to share pictures and tips, so feel welcome to send an email !!!
Cheers,
Ludo

Hi ludo It's good to hear from the other side of the pond. Everybody hear I's more than happy to share tips and pics. Do you guys have many events in that part of France that maybe we could come and do. I am planning my first cruise across the channel this summer in Energia just to Calais, I'm sure after that I will be more than keen to do it again.

Hi Ludo, welcome to the minitonners, it would be great to get some French boats over for the Mini Ton Cup. If you do make it, I can almost guarantee you will win the "Greatest Mini Ton Boat Name" award!
As with Ant, I intend to cross the channel this year too, so maybe Dunkirk is a good destination...

Thanks for this welcome. The website has been updated with new boats, new members. For you guys who are planning to come to France, you can find on our website an excel file containing the exact position of 85 marks important for sailing beetwen Boulogne and Belgium. The file is translated in English.
Finally, If I could help you choosing a harbour to visit in France, Gravelines is for sure the most typical place to see. The only problem is that you can get to the harbour from 2 and a half hour before High tide until 2 and a half hour after High Tide. But the town is full of history, surrounded by ramparts with great walks... And If you come, send me a message at lekleubaooze.com by clicking on "nous contacter". I'll be there to help you mooring

Hi all !
The refit of Funky Shit has begun. The sanding of the deck is done. We are putting the gel-coat added with glass-balls not to slip. The mast is waiting for the gel-coat to be done and the chain plates to be added at their new place.
I met Richard, owner of the Ceccarelli miniwing based in germany. He stopped in dunkirk before crossing the channel We made the dream of a sailing trip from Gravelines to Cowes for the 2012 Miniton Cup...
Everyday, while sanding, my thoughts are racing In Cowes.
I wish you all much fun
Cheers
Ludo
