Sorry everyone for taking so long to respond to you questions.
However, as Cruiser Captain at Portchester SC and organiser of the race I hope I am well placed to answer any questions you may have.
A Notice of Race for the event will be ready shortly and I will send a copy to Matt Atkins so that he can post on to your class website.
In the meantime the start time is scheduled for 13:00 on Saturday 7th May and Will be started from a committee boat moored off Portchester Castle.
The race will be run using the Portsmouth Yardstick system. If you wish to enter please contact me via Russell@Thepeaces.co.uk with details of your boat and we will allocate you a PY number ready for the race.
After the race you are welcome to join us in Portchester SC for the prize giving. There is some mooring on our visitors pontoon or alternatively if you contact Trafalgar Wharf (The former Vospers Yard) they have a deep water pontoon.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions either via this thread or via my E:mail address listed above.
It would be great to see as many of you as possible.
Russell (Merlinman)

Hi All, This is a really warm welcome from Russell (Thanks Merlinman!) and the club (Portchester SC) is certainly very friendly. As a sponsor of the event I would be really pleased to see anybody who would like to come along joining in and it's a great fun 'start to the season race' with a good thrash around Pompey Harbour. If you fancy it, then do drop Russell a line so we can get you a PY sorted out. Hope to see you there! Matt

Thanks Matt for your supportive comments in respect of the Kemp Sails Open Race, and thanks for the invite to sail with you at the Mini Ton Cup in August.
Just a reminder to everyone that the Kemp Sails Open race is scheduled for Saturday 7th May 2011 which is now only a week away.
We would really like to see some of you at Portchester and hope you may be able to join us. The race starts at 13:00 and the warning signal will be made at 12:55.
I hope some of you will be able to attend. If you are planning to come please let me know so that we can allocate you a PY number.
Thanks
Russell
