Well Sunshine Too hasn't been in the water this summer She came out in February and all the good work was undone from when I bought her. She also left her mooring and I found her (after a call from the CG, thank God for CG66!) saying she was bouncing against the rocks. A split rudder and a few gouges in the hull later, she is out of the water. Main plans now, Dry out the hull, epoxy sheath her as she was built without gelcoat. Finish the paint job to make her a true sunshine in race livery. Paint the mast properly so big blobs of paint don't stop the main from going up, maybe a 2:1 main halyard? New decks and bulkhead. Strengthen the shroud plates so it'll take any kind of weather. Repair the rudder and change the bearings. Install an interior that isnt rotten and can support body weight when asleep. Install an electrical system with some LEDs so I can see inside! Anything else I've forgotten? Oh and make the trailer safe and compatible with the cradle, not just sat on top of it and lashed down. I'd like to make sunshine self launchable, from cradle to water and mast up......... Not much eh? Sent from my C6603 using proboards

It's good to hear that others are going through the pain of owning a sailing boat that can't be sailed. Try to do everything once and properly, then you can expect to have a boat that (unlike the AC72s currently in the news) can complete more than one race without breaking something! Look forward to seeing you at MTC 2014 or whenever. Richard/Secondanita

Yeah, that is exactly my thoughts, shes done well to last 30 years now, do a good refurbish properly and it'd be nice for her to last another 30!
MTC is the end goal, I was pondering on selling her but tbh, even in the state she is in, I'm still so pleased that I have a sunshine 22!
I was trying to get some photos up but it doesn't seem to work from my phone.
