Dear all.
I thought I would kick something out there to distract is during the worst months of the year.
I may or may not get the new main that I paid a local independant sailmaker for a year and a half ago. But if it dosent materialise and I rdcover my money, I have been doing some research and an 18 foot skiff no 2 rig is an indentiacal size to my existing rig.
I get that there are probably loads or reasons that it wouldn't translate and that I would probably be caned on handicap, but masts boom and sails are readily available and very cheap. To put it into perspective I could pruchase a mast boom main and jib for less than a set of sails. With new used sails comming available all the time.
I would appriciate your thoughts.
Best to all
Rupert

Go for it! I saw a no. 2 rig on Ebay a while back that went for peanuts and got me thinking exactly the same thing. It's got to have a pretty good fun to cost ratio.
