Hi All,
Last year a mate and I went halves on a Limbo 6.6, sail number 119 Festina Lente (ex Fred the Family Cruiser), and have been racing at Greenwich Yacht Club on the Thames.
Last July we took her down to the Medway Regatta. It was a fantastic event which we are planning to attend again in 2012. It would be great to see some East Coast minitonners there, particularly some other Limbos? Medway YC provide free swinging moorings and Chatham Marina lies just across the river.
Also any hardy souls wanting to come and race the Frostbite from GYC down to Thurrock and back in February would be more than welcome. It is an open event inaugurated by Sir Robin Knox-Johnson (in 1969 I think) and last year 28 boats entered. It involves a dinner and overnight on thurrock or erith moorings and both clubs provide a trot boat service. Again it would be great to have some minitonners in the fleet. Handicap is PY rather than IRC but can't see this being a problem.
Best wishes Rob

Great to see a Limbo racing on the Medway again. There used to be a few about in the 80/90's The Medway is an ideal sailing area for Minitonners Festina looked really good at Medway regatta, shame that Hunter Medina seemed to be infront of you most of the time! Yes a big fleet of Sonatas racing most saturdays but only as one design fleet.

er yes, we're working on the medina, also a gyc boat. We'd really like him to tow a shopping trolley off the transom to give us a fighting chance...
